Getting Started
What is Sheldon World?
Sheldon is your AI travel companion. It automatically detects trips from your email, organizes everything into clean itineraries, manages boarding passes across all airlines, and maps everywhere you've traveled — all from one app.
How does Sheldon find my trips?
When you connect your Gmail or Outlook account, Sheldon scans for travel-related emails from airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and booking platforms. It parses confirmation details and creates organized trip itineraries automatically. You can also paste confirmation text manually.
Which airlines and booking services are supported?
Sheldon recognizes emails from 30+ travel providers including:
- Airlines: United, Delta, American, Southwest, JetBlue, British Airways, Lufthansa, Air France, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines, EgyptAir, Ryanair, EasyJet, and more
- Hotels: Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb
- Car Rental: Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Budget, Sixt
- Rail: Amtrak, Eurostar
Is Sheldon available on Android?
Sheldon is currently available on iOS. Android support is on our roadmap — stay tuned.
Privacy & Security
Is my travel data safe?
Yes. Sheldon uses a local-first architecture, meaning your trips, boarding passes, and itineraries are stored on your device — not on our servers. We never have access to your personal travel data.
Can you read all my emails?
No. Sheldon only searches for emails from known travel providers (airlines, hotels, booking platforms) and emails with travel-related subject lines. Non-travel emails are never read, stored, or transmitted. We use OAuth 2.0, so we never see your email password.
How do I disconnect my email?
Go to Settings in the app, find your connected email account, and tap Disconnect. This immediately revokes Sheldon's access to your email. You can also revoke access directly from your Google or Microsoft account security settings.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings → Delete All Data. Since everything is stored locally on your device, this permanently removes all trips, boarding passes, and account data. Uninstalling the app also removes all data.
Features
What is the world travel map?
The world map tracks every country you've visited based on your trips. You can see stats like total countries visited, share your travel map with friends, and tap countries to see your trip history there. The map is available to all users for free.
How do boarding passes work?
Sheldon extracts boarding pass information from your email confirmations and displays them in Apple Wallet-style cards with QR/barcode support. All your boarding passes across every airline live in one place — no more juggling between airline apps. Boarding passes are a Sheldon Plus feature.
Can I manually add a trip?
Yes. Tap the "Add Trip" button on the home screen and paste any confirmation email text. Sheldon will parse the details and create an itinerary. You can also manually edit any field after parsing.
Can I share my itinerary?
Yes. Open any trip and tap the Share button to send a formatted trip summary to travel companions via text, email, or any sharing method on your device.
Sheldon Plus
What's included in the free version?
The free tier includes up to 5 trip imports, 1 connected email account, the world travel map, trip sharing, and the full timeline view. It's everything you need to get started.
What do I get with Sheldon Plus?
Sheldon Plus unlocks unlimited trip imports, multiple email accounts, the boarding pass hub, PDF trip pack exports, and priority support. It's designed for frequent travelers who want everything in one place.
How much does Sheldon Plus cost?
Sheldon Plus is $4.99/month. You can subscribe from the app and cancel anytime through your Apple ID subscription settings.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → Sheldon World → Cancel Subscription. Your Plus features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
How do I request a refund?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
Troubleshooting
Why didn't my confirmation parse correctly?
Parsing works best with standard confirmation emails from major travel providers. Some custom-formatted or forwarded emails may not parse perfectly. You can always edit any parsed field manually by tapping on it in the trip view.
Email sync isn't finding my trips
Make sure your email is connected in Settings and the sync status shows as active. Sheldon searches for emails from known travel providers — if yours isn't recognized, try pasting the confirmation text directly. If the issue persists, contact support@sheldon.world.
The app crashed or is frozen
Force-close the app and reopen it. If the issue persists, go to Settings and tap the header 7 times to access Diagnostics. You can view error logs there and email them to our support team for investigation.
